SERVICES…
Our main service of worship is on Sunday at 10.30 am. This is a lively, simple English language service in the Reform Christian tradition, which will be familiar to most visitors from church backgrounds as diverse as Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, Anglican, Pentecostal and Roman Catholic. We enjoy singing, usually accompanied by our excellent organ, but also – for our kids’ songs – often on guitar. All our services – including Communion, which we celebrate on the 4th Sunday of every month – are open to all who wish to join us. And there is also a sharing of fellowship, friendship and refreshment after every service.
A typical service will include four or five hymns or songs, prayers for ourselves and others, Bible readings (usually by members of the congregation), a talk for children (who also then have the opportunity to go to Junior Church), and a sermon from our minister or guest preacher. This will usually be about 15 minutes, and will be firmly based on the Word of God. The whole service lasts for around an hour – a bit shorter in summer, and a bit longer when we celebrate Communion.
REGULAR ACTIVITIES…
Midweek Fellowship: A Bible study & discussion group for men and women, on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesdays of each month, at 6.30pm in the Hall. Visitors are always welcome.
Ladies’ Bible Study: Fridays, at 10.30 am – except for summer months – in the Church Hall.
SPECIAL EVENTS…
We regularly hold coffee mornings, evening entertainment and events such as Passover Meals, Film Nights, Pasta Nights, and organised outings ranging from scenic walks to BBQs. Many of these are tied into our mission work – but they’re also a great way to enjoy fellowship together. You can read more in our newsletter Crossroads, and on our MISSION page…
