TODAY…

…our ministers come alternately from the Church of Scotland and the Methodist Church; our congregation comes from around the world; our services in this historic building are modern, simple, lively, and focused on the Word of God; and our mission work reaches out to vulnerable families, immigrants and refugees in Malta, and to HIV/AIDS communities in Zambia.
A PARTNERSHIP CHURCH…
As our name suggests, the church has its roots in the Church of Scotland – Scotland’s national church, a Presbyterian church with about half a million members – and the partnership with the Methodist Church came about after Floriana Methodist Church was closed to worship in the 1970s.

Our unique logo incorporates the clamshell symbol of the international Methodist Church, the burning bush symbol of the Church of Scotland, the Maltese Cross, and the Cross of St. Andrew.

We’re part of the Church of Scotland’s Presbytery of Europe – www.europepresbytery.net – and of the South East District of the Methodist Church – www.methodistsoutheast.org.uk.
OUR BUILDING…
…was completed in 1857 for the Scottish congregation, on the site of an earlier Methodist assembly; so these two mainstream Reformed Christian churches have a real shared history in Malta. The building has recently been fully renovated and modernised, but retains its character. It is equipped with stairlifts, ramps, hearing loop system, and digital projection.
OPEN EVERY DAY…
Volunteers open the church to visitors on weekday mornings, until 12.30pm. |
